Quilt Show 2008 Categories
Please carefully read these descriptions of the categories and choose the one
that is most appropriate. If your entry could be entered under more than one
category select the one you feel your piece is most representative.

Large Appliqué: A quilt that is more than 240 inches in perimeter that is
mostly appliquéd. It may include some piecing, but most of the top is appliquéd.
¶
Large Pieced: A quilt that is more than 240 inches in perimeter that is
mostly pieced. It may include some appliqué, but most of the top is pieced.
¶
Small Appliqué: A quilt that is less than 240 inches in perimeter that is
mostly appliquéd. It may include some piecing, but most of the top is appliquéd.
¶
Small Pieced: A quilt that is less than 240 inches in perimeter that is
mostly pieced. It may include some appliqué, but most of the top is pieced.
¶
Mixed Technique: Any quilt that does not obviously fit into another
category. Examples: crazy, painted, embroidered, photo quilts, and quilts that
are a balanced combination of more than one technique-such as appliquéd and
pieced, etc. Any size except miniature.
¶
Two Person Quilt: Any quilt that two people work on in the construction
or finishing in any way. This includes quilting done for hire. Any size.
¶
Group Quilt: Quilts created by three (3) or more people. Any size.
¶ Wearable Art: All quilted wearable garments.
Ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third place in each
of the above categories as well as one Viewer’s Choice Ribbon.
Non Prize Categories include:

Kid’s and Novice: Quilts created by children or first time quilters, as
well as, first quilts.
¶
Treasured Quilts: Antique or heirloom quilts not created by submitter.
¶
Quilts That “Nearly Drove Me Insane”: Quilts that were challenging to
complete.
