Don’t miss the PINK & RED fabric sale on Thurs. 2/14 at 15% off. We are in high gear prep mode for Shop Hop scheduled to begin Thursday, Feb. 28th thru Sunday March 2nd. Our theme this year is “Cruising Into Spring.” Each shop has a different port of call for a theme. Ours is Japan. The shop hop batik fabric samples are on display for pre-purchase @ $9/50/yd. (When it’s gone, it’s gone). You may pick up at shop hop or after. We have decided to do a “Shop Hop Bag Decorating Contest” this year. You must purchase your bag ($8) from us or get it free with a $100 purchase. We will have Two Categories for judging. You may do yours in “Oriental Fashion” or opt to have the “Ugliest Bag.” Bring your bags in anytime by Tues, Feb 26.for a photo for use by our esteemed cracked judges, who will deposit their votes in hermetically sealed (Ziploc) Fink & Waggle scrap bags to be voted on Wed. 2/27. Winners will be called and may pick up their Ribbons during Shop Hop for showing off. The prizes are a Scrap Therapy Modular Storage Bin and 5 Fat Quarters. Speaking of prizes our store prize for Shop Hop is an Oliso Iron. This iron automatically raises and lowers to the touch and never has to be set on its heel. It retails for about $110. You won’t want to miss visiting us during Shop Hop & putting your name in for the drawing.
We are also very excited to announce that Debbie Kratovil will be here in the store on Saturday, February 16th at 11AM to show her quilts and to autograph her “ Quilter’s Block A Day” Calendars. All “Calendar Girls” members be sure to be here as well as anyone who has purchased a Calendar. Calendars will be available for purchase before & on that day as well. (It’s not too late to join the Calendar Girls $5 Quilt).
The sewing machine repairman will be at the store Monday, Feb.18th. Drop off your sick or wounded warriors for TLC anytime before then along with a blank check. The repairman will call you before he does any work beyond basic service. Call us to reserve your space.
Don’t forget. We are open until 7 PM. on Tuesdays. The American Sewing Guild members also welcomes newbies & are here the second Tues. at 10 AM or 7 PM. Is your group looking for a place to knit or smock? Call us to schedule a time.
